Aquatic Ashby

Located in downtown Berkeley on the very prominent corner of Ashby and San Pablo Avenues, Aquatic Ashby is a 78 unit, 6-story apartment building near Berkeley’s waterfront and part of Read Investment’s Aquatic Apartment projects. The proposed development enhances the emerging, denser urban fabric of Southwest Berkeley along San Pablo Avenue, while respecting the existing neighborhood context and scale. It will create much needed housing in Berkeley and contribute to the stated goals of the Ashby and San Pablo designated node. JETT designed a range of landscape amenities including two large roof decks, a passive contemplative podium garden, and a ground level café terrace that provides a buffered outdoor dining space.
