Colma Veterans Village

Collaborating closely with Van Meter Williams Pollack and Mercy Housing, JETT designed courtyards, a large working community garden, and a public interpretive history plaza to meet the housing needs of the area’s low income and formerly homeless veteran population. The team designed housing, courtyards for individual use and group gathering, and a working garden around a historic pump house now repurposed to be the community center and makerspace supporting gardening and creative activities. The working garden will provide fresh produce for residents while contributing to a sense of purpose, place, and somewhere veterans can feel at home.
