Wiser Park at The Vale

Working closely with the City of Sunnyvale’s Parks and Recreation Department, JETT designed this community park on the corner of a 24-acre former brownfield site adjacent to the new Vale townhome community. A series of JETT-facilitated neighborhood meetings led to a refined design that serves the existing community and the new development.

Tree-lined promenades lead residents and visitors to the park, where they can play, socialize, or lounge on the large turf area or under the shade of multiple wood trellises. An all-ages playground, basketball court, and exercise equipment allow for a range of activity while drought-tolerant planting and naturalistic stormwater catchment areas surrounding the space create a bucolic setting for relaxation.
