West Canal Yards

West Canal Yards is redeveloping a 9-acre former industrial site situated on Salmon Bay into a unique neighborhood destination for retail, events, and interacting with the water’s edge. The project will create new pedestrian spaces aligned with the building interior uses that support light industrial maker spaces, a new brewery, and water-based retail markets inside existing storage buildings facing the canal. The site design re-imagines an existing parking lot through tactical urbanism, and for pedestrian focused daily use, weekly neighborhood events, and community festivals and celebrations.
