JETT’s landscape design honored by the Silicon Valley Business Journal

Located in the heart of the Santa Clara’s entertainment district, close to Levi’s Stadium and the Santa Clara Convention Center, the sleek 188-key, seven-story hotel is Marriott’s upscale boutique-style AC Hotel brand.

Nestled amongst a mature grove of preserved Redwood trees along the hotel’s frontage, the exterior public spaces focus on contemporary amenities geared toward business professionals. JETT’s design for the 2.2 acre site paid particular attention to creating outdoor gathering spaces under the towering mature redwood trees with seamless indoor-outdoor connections for a walk-up bar integrated into the façade, a welcoming arrival court with a rideshare lounge, and a pool deck partially tucked under a building overhang.

JETT’s experience in hospitality landscape design for urban and wine-country hotels means we were ready to design outdoor spaces that support the owner’s vision, the design team’s aesthetic, and the brand’s standards in order to maximize the guest experience through establishing inviting outdoor spaces for guests to enjoy their stay poolside, gathering with friends or family, or finding a quite space to work outdoors. JETT drew inspiration from the mature redwoods on site for materials and furnishings and created memorable lounge spaces that capture the Bay Area vibe.

The AC Hotel by Marriott San Jose Santa Clara opened in September 2019 and was awarded a 2020 Silicon Valley Business Journal Structures real estate award.
