Since 1999, we’ve been designing urban landscapes at every scale, from individual courtyards to campus-wide land use plans. We specialize in urban infill, including the mixed-use, higher-density places where neighborhoods take shape. Our work responds to the particular conditions of each site, finding opportunities within the realities of building in the city.

Every project starts with listening and collaboration, with the client, the design team, and, where possible, the people who will use it. From there we test alternatives openly against constraints, shape a preferred plan around how the place will actually be used, and develop the details and documentation needed to turn the design into a built landscape.
